VLOG: How Well Do You Walk Your Talk?

What are your expectations of others? Are you holding other people to a standard that you do not keep for yourself? Do you allow yourself a LOT of rope, give yourself great grace, offer patience and forgiveness to yourself but cut people off the instant they don’t deliver as you have determined they should? How do you REALLY live your life? What does your “walk” REALLY look like? If you were to enter your eternity right now, what would your life of training have prepared you for? Do you realize this lifetime is training ground for eternity? Besides what the world sees or what you think you are projecting to the world, what are you REALLY like when no one is watching or listening? Who are you in private?….

You Can’t Handle The Truth!

“Our desire to hold identity-consistent beliefs often far outweigh our goals to hold accurate beliefs. This may be because being a part of a political party or social group fulfills fundamental needs, like the need for belonging, which supersede our need to search for the truth.”* The desire for human bonding and connection is part of our DNA. We will find a mate and groups with whom to connect. We will adjust, compromise, conform. It is not a value statement as much as a fact. Vlog: Mind Blowing Happiness!

To arrive at a place of undeniable, inexplicable, mind-blowing peace, love, freedom – HAPPINESS – is a work of The Divine. After one has accepted that s/he must seek and learn (IQ) and then take actions to grow, improve, change, get better (EQ), s/he then realizes she must let go of the outcome (GQ) for happiness to be fully realized! It is the combination of the work one has done on her Intellectual Quotient plus her Emotional Quotient and God Quotient that will dictate the level of one’s Happiness Quotient. IQ+EQ+GQ=HQ.

VLOG: We HAVE Come A Long Way…BUT

We HAVE come a long way since the passage of the 19th Amendment in 1920 which gave women the right to vote. More importantly, we HAVE come a long way since this law which sent the message that women are unique humans with the inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. BUT….there is work to be done. Do we need more laws? Maybe not. Because you cannot legislate morality, considering the law only points to the Truth, it cannot MAKE people follow/believe it, it is time to write these laws onto our hearts so that males and females experience the peace, freedom, and happiness that results when ALL people are treated equally.

We Are Pretty Fricking Impressive!

There is still a very prevalent bias at the highest levels in all industries that women are somehow less committed, less able to perform in the C-suite, on corporate boards, as equity partners, as university deans, etc. For the uber majority of women, we ARE less committed and less willing to make our whole life about our paid work. As a woman, however, we are 100% committed to prioritizing “working hard for my family” which is why we seek a paid gig in the first place. With more women than men earning degrees at all levels and making up almost 50% of the US workforce, women ARE 100% committed, financial providers for their family. In fact, anywhere from 40% to 50% of the US households today claim “mom” as the main breadwinner. Have you ever had someone tell you something you did not want to hear so you got the “Eff-Its” around that subject? Talking about money evokes the “Eff-Its” response from the uber majority. However, there is a minority who invests the time and energy and corrals their “instant gratification” disposition so they have more in the future. Which one are you?

Money, while it is not everything, it is pretty close to oxygen on the list of “gotta have it.” “When it comes to average retirement savings statistics in America, the picture is fairly bleak.”[1] “The first thing to know is that the average American has nothing saved for retirement, or so little it won’t help. By far the most common retirement account has nothing in it.”[2] “Most Americans don’t have nearly enough saved for retirement. If you have big plans for retirement, it means sacrificing now.
