ATTN: Due to the closure of schools for 2020, the Vitacca Mitchell Scholarship will be suspended until 2021.
Kasandra Vitacca Mitchell is a graduate of Northview High School, Class of 1988. Because of the encouragement of a teacher, she applied and received a full-ride to Stanford University where she earned a Bachelors and Masters. Kasandra is an Author, Leadership and Success Speaker who lives in a suburb of Dallas, Texas with her husband. This scholarship was created to give back to the high school that believed in and encouraged her, but more importantly, to award one deserving student with money towards their goals.
This scholarship is in honor of the teachers, coaches, and administrators who educate and encourage our future leaders. It will be awarded to one graduating senior who meets the following eligibility:
- Academic Achievement
- Community Involvement
- Acceptance into a degree or certificate granting institution
- Letters of Recommendation
- 300-500-word essay
- 1-2 minute video
A one-time scholarship in the amount of $1000 will be awarded to a student who has been accepted into a college, university, community college, trade or technical school in the fall of 2020. Applicants must be a 2020 graduating senior from Northview High School with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
The completed online application (below) along with a high school transcript, two letters of recommendation (one from a school personnel and one from a non-familial adult from the community), a typed 300-500 word essay, and the 1-2 minute video must be completed online by TBD: Due to the closure of schools for 2020, the Vitacca Mitchell Scholarship will be suspended until 2021.
Kasandra Vitacca Mitchell will review all applications.
